We believe that reaching out to each child where they are at the very moment of entering the
program is very important. Children are encouraged to learn and explore at their own speed in
areas that interest them. Teachers recognize that children come from different backgrounds and
experiences; they do not learn the same things at the same time in the same way!
Each of the classrooms provide children many opportunities for mental, physical and emotional
growth through a variety of creative experiences. Recognizing that young children learn as
they play with materials and share experiences, free play is considered an essential part of the
school day as well as routines and planned activities. Our teachers recognize the importance

We also offer a young 3’s class beginning in January. It has become quite popular as we are the
only school in the area to have a classroom for children who turn 3 by the end of January. It is
so much fun to see such little ones coming into their first school experience, so apprehensive
and tentative, and watch them blossom and grow. Our teachers are particularly perceptive to the
needs of that age group. They provide a trusting environment where children are comfortable
and welcome. Spots are limited to a small number of students which allows each child more
individualized attention from the teachers. Registration for this class begins in late October.
4 Star Step Up to Quality rating
Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services (ODJFS) offer a voluntary rigorous inspection
service and grants centers either an official rating based on their findings. This program,
called Step Up To Quality distinguishes one center from another as going above and beyond
regulations to create an exceptional preschool program. Our teachers are all well qualified and
continue annually to keep their teaching skills and credentials current.
